Welcome to The Travel Beat — our full time RV life travel blog where we share the real highs, lows, and everything in between as we live out the full time RV life. We’re The Bebbs Beat, a husband-and-wife team from the UK who swapped the traditional life for a home on wheels, hitting the road in our American RV, Betty.
What started as a way to escape the everyday has turned into a whole new lifestyle — one filled with freedom, growth, and a few breakdowns along the way (literal and emotional, let’s be real). And now we’re sharing it all with you.
Why I Started This Blog
After a lifetime of carrying responsibility, surviving setbacks, and putting others first, it’s finally time to live life on my terms — and share that journey with the world.
I’ve been the breadwinner, the single parent, the business owner, the problem-solver. I’ve built and lost, adapted and endured. For seven years, my café was my dream and identity — and when it closed, I felt like I lost a part of myself.
But I didn’t give up. I pivoted.
Alongside my husband, we made a bold decision to leave behind the rat race and the expectations of modern life & pursue a full time RV Life. We bought a massive American RV (yes, she’s a beast in UK car parks 😂), launched our YouTube channel, and hit the open road. At first, it was just a way to keep in touch with our children. But something bigger sparked.
It reminded me how much I love to connect, create, and inspire.
Now, The Travel Beat is the next step. Travel blogging isn’t just about places — it’s about people, resilience, freedom, and rediscovery. I want to write honestly about the highs and lows of full-time travel, show others what’s possible beyond the “normal” path, and build a new form of security doing what I love.
Ultimately, this journey isn’t just about movement — it’s about meaning. I believe sharing it might just lead me to the life I’ve always imagined: freedom, self-sufficiency, connection, and peace… somewhere in Europe, growing my own food and living truly free.

🌍 Where We’ve Been (So Far)
We’ve road-tripped across the UK, cruised through France and Spain, and most recently ventured into Morocco. We took the ferry from Spain using Direct Ferries, which made booking simple and gave us flexible options — ideal when you’re travelling with a large RV.
From dazzling coastlines to culture shocks, language barriers, and a mystery red engine light that forced us to reroute. Betty’s never boring!
