We’re The Bebbs — a travel-loving couple exploring the world full-time in our American motorhome, affectionately named Betty. From the hills of the UK to the deserts of Morocco, we’re chasing freedom, simplicity, and a life built on our own terms.
Why I Started This Blog
After a lifetime of carrying responsibility, surviving setbacks, and putting others first, it’s finally time to live life on my terms — and share that journey with the world.
I’ve been the breadwinner, the single parent, the business owner, the problem-solver. I’ve built and lost, adapted and endured. For seven years, my café was my dream and identity — and when it closed, I felt like I lost a part of myself.
But I didn’t give up. I pivoted.
Alongside my husband, we made a bold decision to leave behind the rat race and the expectations of modern life. We bought an American RV (not the easiest thing to drive around England, lol), hit the road full-time, and started our YouTube channel, The Bebbs Beat. At first, it was just a way to keep in touch with our children. But something bigger sparked.
It reminded me how much I love to connect, create, and inspire.
Now, The Travel Beat is the next step. Travel blogging isn’t just about places — it’s about people, resilience, freedom, and rediscovery. I want to write honestly about the highs and lows of full-time travel, show others what’s possible beyond the “normal” path, and build a new form of security doing what I love.
Ultimately, this journey isn’t just about movement — it’s about meaning. I believe sharing it might just lead me to the life I’ve always imagined: freedom, self-sufficiency, connection, and peace… somewhere in Europe, growing my own food and living truly free.

We’ve road-tripped across the UK, through France and Spain, and most recently ventured into Morocco. It’s been unforgettable — from stunning coastlines to language barriers, culture shocks, and a red engine light that forced us to reroute back to Spain for help.
